I was born in Puerto Rico (1967) ...grew up in Wisconsin ('73-'91) I started as a professional drummer in 1984, I played with many bands and became well-respected in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin music scene. After attending film school and playing drums for much of the eighties, I relocated to Chapel Hill, North Carolina with Tweaker ('91-'97). I made an effort to continue my academics pursuits... Instead, I followed the path of the gypsy, playing drums for Tweaker, teaching drums, doing sound(LOCAL 506; Chapell Hill) and working in a "5 diamond" Restaurant & Inn (Fearrington House; Pittsboro). Once in Chapel Hill, Tweaker began playing all over the United States and around the world. In 1997, I left the band and joined forces with David Lowery, John Morand and Craig Harmon to establish Sound of Music Recording studios, In Richmond VA. Throughout this period, I toured with various bands, while maintaining, managing and performing production duties at Sound of music. I've also, continued my interest in Painting & Photography MANIPU-Co; occasionally showing my work in local and regional galleries.
These days, I'm primarily a Session Drummer/Producer for many of the Songwriters/Bands that record at Sound of Music Recording studios, and currently managing the bookings and scheduling for all the sessions at the studio. As a Project Manager, I've gained a unique knowledge of the recording process; above and beyond the recording. I use this information when providing assistance to my clients. I can provide suggestion, insight, knowledge and guidance, based on my experience in the industry and work closely with all my clients to provide the atmosphere for a successful recording project, and career as a musician.
As a drum tech; I provide assistance in obtaining "that' drum sound. I'm responsible for the majority of the drum tuning at the Sound of Music studios.
I'm also a Private Drum Instructor; Sharing my experiences as a professional drummer and giving assistance, regarding performing, tuning and recording drums and percussion.
